DutyCode alternatives, sorted by the problem you have
DutyCode does one thing: it uses AI to assign HS codes to Shopify products in bulk, and extends them into EU CN8, UK commodity and US HTS codes with a confidence score and an explanation. If that is your problem, it is a reasonable fit and this page will not talk you out of it.
People search for alternatives for three reasons: the pricing model does not suit them, they need country of origin as well, or classification was never the actual blocker. Those lead to three different answers. Listings and prices checked 13 August 2026.
First: is classification really your blocker?
Worth being honest about before comparing anything. There are two distinct situations and they need opposite tools.

The second row is more common than the first in stores past a few hundred SKUs. Most sellers know that their cotton tees are 6109 and their hoodies are 6110; what they cannot see is which 400 of 3,000 variants never got the value written.

If the pricing model is the problem
DutyCode bills per classification through credit packs. That suits a one-off cleanup of a fixed catalogue and suits it well — you pay once and the credits do not auto-renew, per the listing. It suits a store adding SKUs weekly less comfortably, which is presumably why the $9/month monitor plan exists.

If you need country of origin too
This is the gap worth checking carefully. DutyCode's listing describes HS code work and does not mention country of origin. A shipping label needs both, so a store that solves classification alone can still be blocked. Options that cover both fields include Origova, HS Code & Origin Bulk Editor, and Matrixify's Variant Country of Origin column.
The free option, stated plainly
Shopify's bulk editor — Products > select items > Bulk edit > Columns > Harmonized system code — and the inventory CSV both set these fields for nothing. If you have a list of what to change, that list is the whole product, and no app beats free. The paid tools are worth it when producing the list is the hard part, or when you need the change reversed after the fact.

Is an AI-assigned HS code good enough to file on?
Treat it as a first draft. Classification depends on material, use and composition, and a confidence score is a model's self-assessment, not a customs ruling. For high-volume or high-duty lines, confirm with the HTS, CBP rulings or a licensed broker before applying at scale.
